Print Information
All printing is carried out by dedicated professional printing laboratories. There are 4 printing methods available...
Photographic Prints: These are made using the Durst Lambda technique. The digital image file is exposed onto silver halide photo paper using laser technology, then chemically processed in the traditional way. The photo papers used are Fuji Crystal Archive and Fujiflex High Gloss. This blend of classic and contemporary technology ensures the print has sharp detail, rich colour, great tonal range and remarkable durability. The print will have a glossy finish as standard but if you would prefer a lustre finish, just let us know.
Giclee Prints: These are made using Epson UltraChrome K3 pigment inks on Hahnemule Fine Art 310 g/m2 mould paper. The result is a sharp, rich print with a beautiful matt textured finished that is certified colour-fast for 100 years.
Canvas Prints: The image is printed onto coated canvas and dried using UV light to give a waterproof and smudge resistant finish. The canvas is then stretched over a custom made solid wood frame (from sustainable forestry). The image is mirrored and extended so that it wraps around the side of the frame without cropping any of the image. The result is a contemporary looking canvas ready to hang on the wall.
Aluminium Prints: These are made by first creating a Durst Lambda print as described above, then sealing this to a solid aluminium backing which is precision cut using a CNC cutter. The print is then laminated with a protective UV foil. The result is a very crisp and contemporary piece of art, with all the tonal qualities of a photographic print, thats ready to hang on the wall.
